Thank you for reaching out to Hope Xchange regarding our volunteer opportunities. Please allow us to share a little about what we do and we ask that you share a little about yourself; and, exchange contact information so we can set up a time to dialog further about working together to accomplish our mission.
About Hope Xchange Nonprofit
We are dedicated to reducing suicide in our high-risk populations -- youth, LGBQT and bipolar communities -- and to improving mental health outcomes for our most vulnerable and socially isolated. We accomplish our mission by developing innovative, early intervention programs to reach those who are struggling with a mental illness wherever and whenever they need us most and by rebuilding our communities on a foundation of resilience and caring.
Anchored by a volunteer executive team, strategic advisors, peer mentors, advocates and interns, who all care very deeply about community and mental wellness, our Hope Xchange family is also very active in mental health and suicide prevention advocacy work.
Our programs strengthen and empower those who are struggling with a mental illness by renewing life purpose and restoring hope, as that is how we've discovered you can save lives. We bring back love, laughter and light into the lives of those we work with. Each and every one of us deserves someone who cares and no one should every feel like they have to go through life alone.
About Our Volunteer Positions
The Hope Xchange family is spread across the United States and indeed our Suicide Prevention Activist network spans the globe. As such, we all work virtually. We communicate via phone and email, all belong to a private FB group, and share files via a confidential Google Drive. All team members are assigned a hopexchangenonprofit.org email address to be used for official Hope Xchange communications and are required to follow standard operating procedures.
We are all kindred spirits, down to earth, easy going and - given the work we do - we all care very deeply about our fellow human beings.
