Meet Peter Zawistowski
Peter is a television director and engineer specializing in live medical and surgical procedures. He supplies writing, training and documentation to technical and medical firms through the United States. Specializing in web and blog writing, he has authored over 100 published articles in several technical trade journals on subjects such as aviation, space, satellite communications, disaster communications, video imaging, avionics and flexible circuits’ technology.
He was formerly a monthly columnist for TV Technology magazine, covering satellite and remote power technology. He also worked as a contract engineer and producer for 22 years with ABC Network News, operating multiple live news feeds for television networks. Some of his clients included XM Radio, IMAS Publications, and FEMA.
Constantly reorganizing and rediscovering information, Peter has a wealth of knowledge on hand. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder less than ten years ago, he says he has been “moody” his entire life and is now glad to know why.
Peter is currently writing a book on how to manage bipolar disorder in business.
Peter volunteers because...
So many reasons to volunteer! My primary motivation is to help those with bipolar disorder get through their day, their week and their lives in general. I want to be there for them, to be a positive voice for them. Giving a hand to those who live with bipolar also helps me as well.
Providing moral support to spouses and family members of those living with bipolar is a also a frequently missed item that is greatly needed.
