Syd Rizvi, Board Member, Vice President of Business Development, CompNova
Syd Rizvi is Vice President of Business Development at CompNova, a global business leader in the IT Consulting industry. Formerly, he was Project Manager at Apex American, Manager at Price WaterHouse Coopers, Consultant at Future Age Systems, Program Analyst at US Sprint, and Software Engineer at Unisys. He has an outstanding record of leading large organizations and successfully implementing large projects within time and budget. His strong leadership and team building skills ensure success in software development, quality assurance and systems integration projects.
Syd has successfully managed numerous clients’ projects and assisted in defining, designing and implementing business solutions from conception to strategy to delivering finished products as well as engagements of significant size and complexity in package implementation and Customer Relationship Management. He is especially adept at project, change and release management, strategic planning and alliances, business development and global projects.
Dr. Shae Martin, DVM, Board Member & Successful Entrepreneur
Dr. Shae Martin is a successful small business owner, opening 4 vetinerary clinics in Maui, and is a general small animal practitioner with professional interests in dermatology and internal medicine. Shae is also the younger sister of our CEO and founder, and also serves as the Strategic Advisor for our new program, Hope for Unadoptables / Give a Bark, pairing bipolars in need with pets in need.
Shae graduated in 1992 with a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of California at Irvine, then received her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1996 from the University of California, Davis. Shae and her family split their time between Maui and New Zealand.
Christina Hall, Board Member & Executive Director, Orange County Food Access Coalition
Christina Hall is the Executive Director of Orange County Food Access Coalition, a nonprofit that partners with member organizations and the community to support urban agriculture programs that redirect available fresh food to the underserved and cultivate new, healthy food sources for the hungry. Projects include community gardens, residential & commercial gleaning and perishable food recovery efforts.
Christina is also on the Adjunct Faculty at Chapman University teaching in the Food Science Department, Board Chair of the Orange County Sustainability Collaborative and Founder of Sprouting Justice. OC Food Access is also one of the first nonprofits to join our Timebank.
Burton Danet, Ph.D. - Retired Clinical Psychologist & Psychoanalyst, Hope Xchange Lead Strategic Advisor & Hope for Bipolars Mentoring Team Guide
Burton Danet, Ph.D. is a retired Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalyst who practiced for 15 years in the States of Minnesota, New York and California. Since retiring he has not rested but instead has built and oversees two different and very inspiring nonprofit organizations, A Better Community For All and a Better Community for All Legacy.
His organizations focus on the betterment of citizenry and communities through a give-back model of conducting business in the world, Maximizing Charitable Contributions on and off the Internet wherein support is offered for charitable causes worldwide and ABC4AllWorldSolutions™ which provide opportunities to reach unimagined Health Heights.™ We are truly blessed to have him on board our team not only as our in-house mentoring mentoring team guiding light but also as our lead strategic advisor.
Leanne Jacobsen, Ph.D, Strategic Advisor, Hope Xchange Program Evaluation Lead
Leanne Jacobsen holds a PhD from Temple University in Cognitive Psychology and currently works as an independent consultant offering professional consulting services for small and large evaluations of social service programs. Her work focuses on child, youth, family, school (curriculums, professional development) and community service programs (after school, life skills, and at-risk programs).
Leanne currently consults for non-profits, schools, colleges and universities. And, she is also leading the evaluations of Hope Xchange's current programs as well as our programs under development for 2017. She is also the proud mother of two beautiful children and a college classmate of our founder.
Kathy Perlow, Strategic Advisor, Timebanks USA Board Member & Outreach Coordinator
Kathy Perlow is the former Membership Coordinator of the Community Exchange TimeBank in Allentown, PA with 700 individual members and 20 organizational partners; and one of four visions who created the Leigh Valley Super Utilizer Program, the community wellness prototype we are modeling our Hope Xchange Timebank on albeit we are also extending to contracts with prisons in addition to community and mental hospitals.
Kathy sits on several boards, including Timebanks USA started by Dr. Edgar S. Cahn who is considered the "father" of timebanking in the US (see Origins of Timebanking). She is the co-author of “Community-Based Participatory Research Shows How a Community Initiative Creates Networks to Improve Well-Being” published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine (Dec 2009) and “Time Banking and Health: The Role of a Community Currency Organization in Enhancing Well-Being" appearing in Health Promotion Practice (Aug 2010); and, also travels the country speaking about timebanking and the role it can play in community health and wellness.
Archie Holton works with business and nonprofits to creating breakthrough results. An international speaker and business consultant, he is universally characterized by his friends, colleagues, and clients as one of the most insightful, powerful, and compassionate individuals.
